B.C. Master Blasters Inc. (“BCMB”) offers Hydro Excavation services as a safer alternative to conventional digging methods. BCMB’s Hydro Excavation crews perform safe, non-destructive soil removal for contractors, municipalities, utility companies, industrial facilities and manufacturing plants.
Unlike traditional, mechanical excavation, the Hydro Excavation method uses pressurized water (up to 10,000 psi) and powerful vacuum (up to 28 inches of vacuum and 6000 CFM) to remove soil without the usage of backhoes, bobcats and/or bulldozers.
This vacuum-based method enables BCMB’s crews to undertake excavations with little chance of damage or disruption to critical, underground utilities and/or existing infrastructures.
Due to the precise and non-destructive nature of BCMB’s Hydro Excavation methodology, projects can be completed safely and in a fraction of the time that may have previously been required. High-pressure, waterjet tooling is directed at the targeted excavation coordinates while the resultant soil slurry is vacuumed into high capacity vacuum trucks for transportation on or off-site.
BCMB’s self-contained Hydro Excavators are DOT-certified for hauling both hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
All of BCMB’s Hydro Excavators are equipped with debris tanks, with holding capacities of up to 14 cubic meters, and water tanks that can hold up to 2000 liters. The Hydro Excavators are also equipped with 24-foot booms capable of rotating a full 360 degrees—thereby facilitating access to areas where space restrictions may come into play.
Each of BCMB’s Hydro Excavators has also been outfitted with a 1 million BTU boiler to ensure a steady supply of sufficiently hot water to overcome cold weather- related challenges.
